Cheryl Evonne Herman

Cheryl Evonne (Spurbeck) Herman, 64, of Janesville, formerly Charles City, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A private family memorial service will be held at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Robbins from Calvary Baptist Church in Charles City officiating.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Cheryl Evonne (Spurbeck) Herman was born Nov. 30, 1958 in Charles City, Iowa to Bette (Whitmarsh) and Lynn Spurbeck, Sr. Cheryl married Orvall “Tike” Herman on Jan. 23, 1976. The two soulmates began their life together and had four wonderful children:  Sean, Collin, Christopher and Shana.

Left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are her husband, the love of her life, Orvall “Tike”; children: Sean, Collin, Christopher (Angela) and Shana (Jonathon); grandchildren:  Alexis, Deacon, Kaleb, Julia, Lukas, Peyton and Stella; brother, Robert Spurbeck, Sr.; along with many nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law; and brother, Lynn Spurbeck, Jr.
