Suz’s early years were spent with the family in Logan, Iowa, before returning to Charles City, Iowa, in 1976. Belinda attended Charles City Schools and graduated from Charles City High School (Class of 1983) before attending North lowa Area Community College where she received a Medical/Clinical Assistant diploma in 1984. Her commitment to caring for others led her to complete a Registered Nursing degree from Clarkson College in 1994. Her entire career was spent in healthcare, where she was able to pursue her passion for helping people. Belinda was also an advocate for mental health awareness and education.

Suz lovingly cherished her husband, children and grandchildren. “Mimi” loved spending time with her grandkids during play dates and numerous sleepovers with her and Papa Bob. She was a lifelong music fan having seen many concerts starting as a teenager. Her bright smile and contagious laughter would light up any room. She made friends wherever she went and never met a stranger. Her other favorite hobbies included watching movies, reading, travel and reading to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Bob; and three children, Jared Rye; Breanna Dewitt (husband Josh, children Hudson and Everlee); and Steve Rye (Kassie, children Ryan and Randy); brother-in-law Ray Shera (Cindy d. 2019); siblings Dan Leaman (Donna); Bill Snitker (Kim) and Ron Snitker (Doug Alexander); and beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by both her parents, Lyle (d. 2010) & Cleo Snitker (d. 2019); Steve Rye (d. 2015), her first husband and father to their children; and beloved sister Cindy (d. 2019).
