Robert (Bob) Lee Frascht, 75, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

A funeral service for Bob Frascht will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City. Burial will follow the service at the New Hampton Cemetery in New Hampton, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home and will continue one hour before the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Bob was born on Feb. 7, 1949, in Charles City, Iowa. He graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1967 and from NIACC in 1969. He spent most of his life living in Charles City. Bob owned a bar in Charles City for many years. He was a rural route mail carrier for 30 years. After retirement, he delivered chicks for Hoover’s Hatchery until October 2023. Bob enjoyed traveling and traveled as far as Europe, attended numerous drag races, and in most recent years he spent a lot of time in Branson with his wife and family. Over the years, he was on the Stony Point Players board and was very active in building sets for the plays. He enjoyed playing pool and was on a league for many years. Bob’s hobbies included building things, fixing cars, visiting with people, playing cards, and helping others.

Living family members include his wife, Linda; children, Misty David of Charles City, Jeffrey Nelson (fiancée, Jenna Suess) of New Ulm, Minnesota, Christopher Nelson of Charles City, and Jennifer (Adam) Pommrehn of Mason City, chosen daughter, Rebecca Schilling; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Randals (special friend, Harvey Bundy); mother-in-law, Ellen Liddle; brothers-in-law: Dean (Sally) Liddle and Dean Lynch; sister-in-law, Melody (Gary) King; along with several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Josephine Frascht; daughter, Renee Wagner; sisters: Heide (James) Shultz and Virginia Lynch; father-in-law, Wendal Liddle; grandchild, Alex Kyrin; nephew, Matt Shultz; and niece, Connie Shultz.
