Paulus S. Channer
Paulus S. Channer, affectionately known as Papa, age 88, of Fairview Heights, Ill., passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. Papa was born on Nov. 20, 1935, in Charles City, Iowa, to Scott and Eleanor Channer, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Barbara, nee Batha Channer, whom he married on Sept. 12, 1959. He is also survived by his son, Andrew (Vicki) Channer of Fairview Heights, Ill.; his daughter, Cathy (Dave) Hughes of Swansea, Ill.; a granddaughter, Megan (Jacob) Hall; a grandson, Danny Hughes; and three sisters, Barbara Thomsen and Nancy Clarke, of Charles City, Iowa, and Susan Ettinger of New York City, NY.
