Dale Alan Schultz

Dale Alan Schultz, 99, of Charles City, passed away on Friday June 14, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.

A graveside Service will be held Monday, June 24 at Noon at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 11:45 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating wil be Rev. Don Preston.

Dale Alan Schultz, was born on May 17, 1925 in Deerfield Iowa, the only child of Albert and Grace (Darrow) Schultz. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1943 and began working at Charles City Motors as Parts and Service Manager. He worked there for 45 years, through various ownership changes, until retirement. Dale was united in marriage to Jean Ritter on March 23, 1952 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. This union was blessed with four sons. Dale loved his family, enjoyed cars, family camping trips and his evening bowl of popcorn, but music was his passion. He played guitar and sang with numerous musicians and bands in North Iowa. He fronted his own dance band, the B Sharp Combo, as well as several dance and show bands during his retirement years in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Living family members include his sons, Dave (Linda) of Naples, FL; Rich (Kris) of Naples, FL; Tim (Jean) of Marquette, MI; Jerry (Lori) of Mason City, IA; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Ritter) (34 years), wife Dorothy (Githens) (8 years), friend Dell Gifford (11yrs); and wife Jean (Richardson) (18 years).

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Care Center, Mason City for the care given to Dale during the past 18 months.
