Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024 with a Scriptural Wake Service to begin at 6:30 PM at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel.

The family suggests memorials be directed to Newman Catholic Schools.

Marjorie Kay was born August 12, 1951, the daughter of William and Loretta (DeMar) Schneider of Charles City, Iowa. On June 19, 1971 Marjorie married John E. Richardson at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Mason City. She was the mother of an unborn infant daughter, Camille and son, Keith; a sister to William Jr., Rosann Marie, Linda and Shirley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; son, Keith; grandsons, Leo and Fritz Richardson; sister, Marie; sister in-law; Sharon Schneider; as well as many nieces and nephews. Marge is preceded in death by infant daughter, Camille; her parents; in-laws; and siblings.

Marge’s father died tragically when she was eight years old in an airplane crash that was not discovered for two months. But she was able to put it behind her and had a wonderful childhood filled with lots of friends and adventures in her small town of Colwell, Iowa. Her mother loved her with all her heart.

She was outgoing and not afraid to engage with people. Making her family happy was Marge’s favorite thing to do.

Marge worked at Principal Financial in a very stressful position for 20 years to help provide for her family. While she was there she made many friends. She was the very best mother a child could ever have and prayed every day for her son and many others.

To everyone she encountered, if she were here now she would say “I’m glad I met you and I’ll see you again”. She leaves behind happy memories and a loss that cannot be filled. She will be very much loved forever.
