Marjorie ‘Marge’ Weber

Marjorie “Marge” Weber, 97, of Charles City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A funeral Mass for Marge Weber will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Tom Heathershaw officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with a Scripture Service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Marjorie Mae (Maravetz) Weber was born May 10, 1927, in Elma, Iowa. She received her education there and spent her early days helping on the family farm.

On June 26, 1951, she was united in marriage to Leo Weber. They made their home in Charles City where she was a homemaker and raised five children. She found a love for upholstering furniture and did this for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved baseball, bingo, word search books, and most importantly her family.

Living family members include her five children: Linda (Bob) Culbertson, Wayne Weber, Sharon (Dave Rouse), Dave (Kim) Weber, and Laurie (Kevin) Wiltse; as well as her eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law.

She was preceded in death by Leo, her husband of 63 years; her parents; her brothers: Raphael and Arnold; her sisters: Clementine and Evelyn; her daughter-in-law, Bobbi Weber; as well as several nieces and nephews.
