Jerry LeRoy Navratil

Jerry LeRoy Navratil, age 84, of Rockford, IA died due to injuries sustained in a lawn mower rollover accident on May 9, 2025, at his residence.

He was the son of Wesley and Harriet (Schultz) Navratil and born on April 18, 1941, in Mason City. Jerry attended Plymouth, Rudd and Rockford Schools. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 until he was honorably discharged. Jerry worked many jobs through the years but loved farming; he bought his first farm in 1968.

Jerry was united in marriage to Joyce Uker on Feb. 5, 1966. The couple later divorced. One son, Patrick, was born to their union.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Patrick and Patrick’s mother Joyce; his two sisters: Marilyn (Dennis) Mullen and Debra (James) Fitken; sister-in-law, Jean Navratil and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald (Butch).

Per Jerry’s wishes, he will be laid to rest with a private graveside service at a later date.
