Stille crowned 138-pound champion

Fisher takes second place in 195-pound weight class

It was a busy afternoon for the Huskies who wrestled at the Chris Davis Wrestling Tournament in Wapsie Valley on Saturday. Nashua-Plainfield brought back an individual title winner in 113-pound class wrestler Matthew Stille.

Topping Geordan Perry from Central Springs in the quarterfinals and Austin VanAlst from Central City in the semifinals, Stille earned the top podium finished from a fall 3:27 against South Winn’s Luke Massman in the first-place match.

Senior Jason Fisher made his way to the first-place match in the 195-pound weight class, eventually losing to South Winn’s Landers Kuboushek.

Devin Auchstetter was 2-1 in the 285-pound weight class, only losing to Jackson Lukes from South Winn.

Brock Dietz earned third place in the 132-pound weight class and Nathan Dettmer was fourth in the 145-pound weight class.

The Huskies will wrestle in a triangular on Dec. 10 at Central Springs, then come back on Dec. 12 to host a home tournament, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
