Vikings roll over Huskie boys and girls

Josh Einertson scored a game-high 36 points while leading the Northwood-Kensett Vikings past Nashua-Plainfield, 71-41, in boys basketball action Friday night at Northwood-Kensett.

Tom Fick added 14 and grabbed 13 rebounds for Northwood-Kensett, which improved to 7-6 for the season and 6-5 in the Top of Iowa-East Conference.

The Huskies fell to 2-11 and 2-10, and look to rebound when they host Newman Catholic Tuesday.

The Huskie girls didn’t fare much better as they lost to the Vikings, 80-35, in the first game of the girls-boys varsity doubleheader.

Briley Fisher led the charge with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings (11-3, 8-3). The Huskies fell to 1-13 and 0-10, and will also host Newman Catholic this Tuesday.
