Rottler FT’s lead Bearcats to victory

SAINT ANSGAR — The game was on the line — literally.

Jenny Rottler was able to make 5-of-6 free-throw attempts late in the fourth quarter to enable North Butler to escape from St. Ansgar with a 42-39 conference victory in Top of Iowa-East girls basketball action Friday night.

Rottler finished the game with 12 points, and Nicole Heeren added 10 for the Bearcats, who evened their overall record at 7-7 while improving to 7-5 in their conference.

Saint Ansgar fell to 7-7 and 5-6.
