Vikings surge past Lady Warriors

NORTHWOOD — Down by seven at the half, Northwood-Kensett’s offense exploded for 29 points in the third quarter to take control and defeat Top of Iowa-East rival Rockford, 60-43, Friday night in girls basketball action.

Hattie Davidson led the Vikings with 18 points. Shelby Low scored 17, which included three 3-point field goals, and Terran Haberman added 13 for North-Kensett, which improve to 12-3 overall and 9-3 in conference.

Sarah Parcher and Emma Staudt added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for Rockford, which fell to 11-3 and 8-3.
