Rockford’s Staudt Top of Iowa-East Conference first-team selection

Rockford junior guard Emma Staudt led the Lady Warriors in multiple categories on way to becoming an TOIE first teamer.
Staff Report
Rockford juniors Emma Staudt and Sarah Parcher, and senior Fallon Marth were all named to all-Top of Iowa-East Conference girls basketball teams.
After the Lady Warriors lost post player Madison McGregor and her 63 percent field goal percentage mid-season, Staudt picked up the offense scoring 14.9 points per game. She also led the team in rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots, which is among the reasons Staudt was an unanimous pick for the TOIE first team.
Parcher was selected to the second team, and Marth was named honorable mention.
North Butler senior Jenny Rottler and sophomore Nicole Heeren, who both averaged double-figure scoring for the Lady Bearcats, both made the second team, and junior Hallie Testroet was named honorable mention for North Butler.
Briley Fisher, who led Nashua-Plainfield in scoring (12.1 ppg), was named to the second team, and teammate Aubry Bienemann, the Huskies’ rebound leader, made honorable mention.
Northwood-Kensett senior guard Hattie Davidson, who was among the state’s leading scorers at 21.2 ppg, was named TOIE “Player of the Year”.
Osage coach Chad Erickson was named the “Coach of the Year” after leading the Green Devils to a first-place conference record of 14-2.
