Bearcats hold off Warriors for Homecoming victory

GREENE — North Butler pounded out what appeared to be an insurmountable lead in the first half of it’s Homecoming game Friday night in Greene. Rockford didn’t agree, however.

The Bearcats led 34-18 when it opened the third quarter with a touchdown plunge by Dalton Nelson. pushing the score to 42-18.

Rockford aerial attack shifted into high gear from there, with Tanner Grady capping it off with a more than 90-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

The final score: Bearcats 48, Warriors 36.
