Court of Dreams Classic returns to All Iowa Lawn Tennis Club

CHARLES CITY — The Court of Dreams Classic Prize $ Invitational will return to the All Iowa Lawn Tennis Club, 2667 240th St., this Friday through Sunday (July 30-Aug. 1).
The event will showcase a Gentlemen’s and Ladies tournament play. Ladies’ matches will start July 30 followed by the Ladies championship on July 31; Gentlemen’s matches will start July 31 followed by the Gentlemen’s semifinals and championship on Aug. 1.
The Ladies’ roster includes Anne Lutkemeyer (Irvine, California), Sam Mannix (Elkhorn, Nebraska), Alexandra Pancu (Robesonia, Pennsylvania), Kelsey Neville (Antioch, Illinois), Daria Walczak (Lodz, Poland) and Milica Veselinovic (Sombor, Serbia).
The Gentlemen’s roster includes Nolan Perugini (Reading, Pennsylvania), Aaron Forsberg (Des Moines, Iowa), Reid Jarvis (Springfield, Missouri), Anthony Perkins (Leamington Spa, England), Daniel Leitner (Niederfischbach, Germany) and Oliver Johansson (Gothenburg, Sweden).
The COD Classic, which is hosted by Mark Kuhn, owner/operator of the AILTC, and directed by Ryan Knarr, the national tournament director from the 2020 Comeback Classic Series, is open to the public. The event also will be live streamed on the SSP Network, which can be accessed online for $5 a day.
Proceeds from the broadcast will be donated back to the All Iowa Lawn Tennis Club Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization that promotes the growth of grass-court tennis by hosting youth and adult tournaments on the Alex J. Kuhn Court of Dreams.
The non-profit also funds children’s reading programs at local libraries and schools.
