Comets fall to state-ranked Falcons 79-59

Charles City’s Mario Hoefer hits the floor with Aplington-Parkerburg’s Christian Haugstad for a loose ball during Friday’s non-conference boys basketball game. In addition to the hustle points, Hoefer scored 14 points but it wasn’t enough for the Comets as the Class 2A state-ranked Falcons prevailed 79-59.
