Comet 4-by-100 relay qualifies for state after CC’s 4-by-200 denied by disqualification
Charles City’s 4-by-100 relay team of, from left, Jakob Sindlinger, Mario Hoefer, Jalil Jones and Josiah Cunnings qualified for state after placing second at Thursday’s state-qualifier. For Hoefer, Jones and Cunnings, it was sweet redemption as they were on Charles City’s 4-by-200 relay team that initially placed second only to be denied a state berth by way of disqualification due to a lane-exchange infraction.
