Comet senior Rachel Chambers named to Northeast Iowa Conference Softball First Team
Charles City senior Rachel Chambers was named to the Northeast Iowa Conference Softball First Team for the third time in her career — Chambers missed her sophomore season due to knee surgery. Chambers led the Comets in hitting (.494), on-base percentage (.590), slugging percentage (.976), RBIs (41), base on balls (18) and … what else? … oh, home runs (12). Despite missing a whole season, Chambers is the Comets’ all-time career home run leader (47).
