Wyborny leads Warrior boys to golf quadrangular win

MANLY — Behind senior Adam Wyborny’s medalist 9-hole 43 score, the Rockford Warriors boys golf team won Monday’s quadrangular at Pioneer Town and Country Club.
With Kylen Enabnit (49), Michael Heit (51) and Wyatt Ritter (52) rounding out Rockfords varsity scorers, the Warriors’ 195 team total was 4 strokes lower than runner-up Central Springs, with Nashua-Plainfield (204) and Riceville (231) also playing.
N-P sophomore Ty Berger was the meet’s runner-up medalist (45), closely followed by freshman teammate Devon Blanchard (46).
Along the front nine at Pioneer Town and Country, Nashua-Plainfield won the girls quadrangular with Husky sophomore Paige Franzen matching the score (51) shot from medalist Cooper Klaahsen, from Central Springs.
Klaahsen was awarded the tiebreaker, but the Warriors won the match by 3 strokes (230-233) with senior Autumn Nelson (57), sophomore Faith Franzen (58) and junior Natalie Sinnwell (64) rounding out the winning team total.
Riceville placed third (233), and Rockford placed fourth (273) with Warrior freshman Danika deBuhr shooting a 54, which placed her third among individuals.
