CHARLES CITY — Combining a solid long game with a solid short game, Charles City senior Isabel Crawford was able to achieve co-medalist status during Friday’s Northeast Iowa Conference girls golf makeup dual meet against Waukon at Cedar Ridge Golf Course.

Crawford’s nine-hole score of 52 matched that of senior teammate and returning All-NEIC golfer Mya Rimrod.

With sophomore Averi Wohlers (58) and freshman Lily Herman (64) rounding out Charles City’s 226 score, the Comets defeated the Indians by 6 strokes.

Waukon was led by senior Allyssa Connelly (56) and sophomore Adelynn Connelly (57).

After road duals against Crestwood on Monday and South Winneshiek on Tuesday, the Comets will host the final Northeast Iowa Conference Girls Golf Tournament at Cedar Ridge next Monday (May 12).
