WATERLOO — Charles City senior Carson Gallup shot an 18-hole high school career-low score of 70 while earning individual medalist honors at Monday’s Columbus Catholic Invitational at Sunnyside Golf and Country Club.
Gallup 2-under score bested co-runners-up Carson Castello of Dike-New Hartford and Cody Weaver of East Marshall by 4 strokes.
The Comets placed seventh out of 15 teams with a 340 team score.
Hosts Columbus Catholic won the invite with a team score of 314 — 3 shots better than runner-up Grundy Center.
