The Nashua-Plainfield Girls 1600-Meter Distance Medley Relay Team of, from left, Mackenzie Foelske, Jennah Carpenter, Abbie Hyde and Kadence Huck won the Class 1A title on Friday morning at the State Track and Field Championships.
The day before, freshman Huck won the Class 1A Girls 400 to become the first NP girl to win a state title. Then on Saturday, Hyde, Foelske, Huck and Rylee Weiss won the Girls 800-Meter Sprint Medley Relay, paving the way to a first-ever N-P girls state overall title.

Charles City senior Ian Collins matched his personal- and school-record of 6 feet, 9 inches while winning the Class 3A Boys High Jump, Thursday at the State Track and Field Championships. Collins also cleared 6-foot-9 while winning last year's state HJ title. Later during the Class 3A Boys Long Jump, Collins came up a half-inch shy of defending his state title in that event, too.
