Linda Dishman

Linda Dishman, 74, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City.

Linda Faye (Street) Dishman was born September 5, 1947 to Alfred Street and Arlene Street-Balsley in Osage, Iowa. She married Rodney Dishman on Feb. 16, 1980 in South Dakota.

Linda is survived by her husband, Rodney of Charles City; four sons and daughters-in-law: Steve (spouse Pam) of Washington, Iowa, Jeff (spouse Kelly) of Plainfield, Indiana, Chris (spouse Lora) and Nathan (spouse Jennifer) of Ames, Iowa; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Shoars of Kensett, Iowa; along with multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Alfred Street; Leonard and Arlene Balsley; mother-in-law, Beverly Dishman; and father-in-law, Robert Dishman.

Linda was owner and operator of Backyard Water Gardens for the last 18 years. In addition to her outdoor love of fish, water plants, and fountains, she enjoyed doing puzzles and watching her grandkids participate in endless extracurricular activities over the last 20 years. Linda was a devout follower of the Lord and lived out her faith every day! Her compassion and love for her family, friends, and even newfound acquaintances knew no bounds.
