Caught in the act … doing something good

No, these two Charles City High School students weren’t working in the garden as punishment. They were volunteering.

Junior Lauren Connell and sophomore Kiki Connell, FFA members, were caught in an act of kindness on Monday, as they volunteered to help weed, mow and pick vegetables in the school ag department’s garden beds in front of Charles City Middle School. The sisters also did some mowing and other landscape work around the area, among other things. Next week, about 25 Floyd County FFA students will be taking their projects to the Iowa State Fair.
