There’s plenty of summer fun left.

This is the kind of excitement and entertainment you won’t want to miss — plus most of it doesn’t cost a dime.

Marble Rock Fun Days kicks off Friday night with the fireman’s supper from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m at the Walter F. Bohl Community Center. There is a freewill donation with the supper. There is also an emergency vehicle viewing that evening followed by Movie Night at 8 p.m. The scheduled flick is “Big Hero 6.”

A whole slew of activities and events is on the slate for Saturday.

Folks can fuel up for the day at the pancake breakfast put on by Boy Scout Troop No. 1034 from 7 to 10 a.m. The Scouts will serve up flapjacks to keep your energy levels high before and after the Firefighters 5K run that gets underway at 8 a.m. Registration is from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. or you can register online at mrfdfirefighter5k.weebly.com.

Mercy AirMed will allow anybody the chance to check out the helicopter that saves lives. That viewing takes place at the fire station on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.

At 9 a.m. the Kids 1K race features a chance to jog alongside Sparky the Fire Prevention Dog. A classic car show featuring cars of all models and makes on Maple Street will also be going on beginning at 9 a.m.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. The parade entries should begin arriving at 10 a.m. The parade lineup begins at the co–op and ends at the fire station.

The food stand run by the Ulster Future Leaders 4-H group opens up in the city park at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.

From noon to 4 p.m. is when the action really heats up as all kinds of inflatables will be available to play on in the park. A sticky wall, kids train and Face Art by Lori are a few of the neat things for kids to take part in. There will also be all sorts of games that kids can win prizes on.

The music and magic show by Levey the Great has been a hit in recent years at Marble Rock Fun Days. He is back to perform his illusions and tricks from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

If you’re looking to get the mayor of Marble Rock wet, here’s your chance. Mayor Jerry Engelhardt will be a part of the wet and wild fun when he participates in the dunk tank. Two volunteer firefighters and members of the Marble Rock Fun Day Committee — Kathy Steere and Hannah Chambers — are also planning in partaking in the dunk tank.

Water Ball, sponsored by the Marble Rock Fire Department, gets underway at 1 p.m. Here’s the Scoop Ice Cream Truck will also be on site from 1 to 4 p.m. Anyone can enter into the bags tournament at Whitetails Bar and Grill at 2 p.m. There’s also bingo from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and water balloon games at 3 p.m.

Buy raffle tickets at Hillman’s Stop–n-Shop or reach out to committee members via Messenger so you have a chance to win cool prizes in the raffle–ticket contest. Committee members are Steere, Chambers and Christina Schlader. The winners of the raffle–ticket contest will be announced at 4 p.m by Levey the Great.

Chow down on some loose meat sandwiches, potato salad and pie at the ice cream social at the Methodist Church from 5 to 7 p.m. A freewill donation will also be taken for that event.

End the evening with street dancing and lively music provided by DJ Blackout at Whitetails from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Don’t be late, because the fun only lasts for so long.
