One of the highlights of the Floyd County Fair this past week was the induction of a new member into the Floyd County 4-H Hall of Fame on Wednesday evening.

Steve Buseman of Charles City was awarded the honor posthumously. Buseman died in January.

Buseman was a longtime supporter of 4-H and the county fair, working with kids in various projects and helping the fair as a volunteer on many activities. He was a member of the 4-H Council and the 4-H Youth Committee.

The award was accepted on Steve’s behalf by his family, wife Lorie and children Alex, Adam and Alayne. The County Fair Board thanked Steve and the Buseman family for all their work in support of the fair.
