Ashley Siemons, M.D., is now accepting new patients, “from newborn to 100+,” by calling the clinic at 641-228-5151.

“I knew I wanted to specialize in family medicine from the start of my career,” Siemons said.

“Returning home to be a small-town doctor was always my goal. To be able to be there as a physician and trusted resource for my neighbors, friends, and community that have invested so much in me growing up, is something very important to me,” she said.

Siemons, who grew up in Applington, said building long-term relationships with patients as they navigate through the complex world of today’s health care system, gives her a lot of joy and fulfillment.

“Family medicine, in itself, is much more personalized than ever before. People want a doctor close to home that knows you, your family, and your values. By establishing care with a family doctor – and coming to regular checkups – we can prevent illness and disease and keep you doing what’s most important to you,” she said.

“If illness does happen, you already have someone you trust, and we will advocate for you and offer support through the process of healing. We will work with specialists if needed, and make sure you are well-informed and confident in your health care at FCMC,” Siemons said.

Dawnett Willis, medical center CEO, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Siemons to Floyd County Medical Center. Her friendly, caring, and compassionate demeanor will fit right in with our culture and resonate well with patients and families. She is a wonderful addition to our team.”

Siemons lives outside of Greene on an acreage with her husband, Trevor, and one-year-old son, Boone. She said she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, fishing, and participating in community events.
