Clyde Clark

Clyde Clark, 87, of Charles City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City at a later date. With a celebration of life.

Clyde Raymond Clark, the son of Ernest & Margaret (Ferguson) was born on Sept. 3, 1933 in Pennsylvania. He was united in marriage to Betty Welch, out of this marriage a daughter was born, Loretta Lynn (Clark) (Mannetter) Deetz. The couple later divorced. Clyde was then united in marriage to Karla (Carr). The couple later divorced. Then later he married Susan (King).

Clyde worked many years in Pennsylvania Coal Mines. He moved to Iowa in 1969 where he began work at the Rudd Molasses Factory. Then later on he worked for a local fertilizer company and then he went on to work at White Farm in Charles City. He loved his family, bingo, playing rummy “nickels”, and picking up cans. He was very skilled in restoring Model T’s and A’s. He also loved his cat Morriss.

Living Family members include his wife of 35 years, Susan of Charles City. Daughter Loretta Deetz (Rick Wille) of Charles City; grandchildren: Shane (Darcy) Deetz, Abigail (Justin) Murphy, Zac Deetz (Sara Bergmann); two great-grandchildren: Ava & Greyson; and Sisters Blanch Beard, Mildred Geary, Thelma (Ben) Nichelson, and Carol (Pete) Early; brother Jimmy (Jules) Clark.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother Earl & Harry; brother-in-law Ken Geary; grandson Zane Deetz; two great grandsons, Carson & Evan Deetz.
