Richard James Eichmeier

Richard James Eichmeier, 72, of rural Lake Mills, Iowa, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.

Upon his wishes he was cremated and burial will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, Iowa.

Richard James Eichmeier was born on March 18, 1948 in Charles City, Iowa to parents Lavonne and Vivian (Blunt) Eichmeier.  He attended and graduated from Rockford High School.

Richard had worked for White Farm Equipment in Charles City, Iowa. He then began working as a welder at Wells Concrete in Wells, Minnesota, retiring just a few years ago.

In December of 2006 he was united in marriage with Marcella Klampe in Rockford. She preceded him in death in 2019.

Survivors include his daughter Jeanne (Tim) Sigler of Rockford, IA; three grandchildren, Shawn Graham of Rockford, Zach Graham of Rockwell, and Kristina Graham of Liberty Center, IA; four great-grandchildren, Skyler and Madison Johnson and Jernie and Joel Graham; a brother Danny Eichmeier of Rockford; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lavonne and Vivian; his wife Marcella; a brother Michael Eichmeier; and his former wife Sandy Eichmeier.
