Betty Nixt

Betty Jean Nixt, age 93, of Surprise, AZ and formerly of Charles City, Iowa, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Assisted Living of Surprise, AZ.

Betty was born on May 2, 1928 in Lisbon, South Dakota, daughter of Harry Sr. and Helen (Humble) Burrier. Betty was united in marriage to William (Bill) C. Nixt on June 15. 1946. To this union they were blessed with five children: Dennis, Linda, Cynthia, Patsy and Gary. Betty is survived by her children, Dennis (Sarah) Nixt of Dakota City, Iowa; Linda (Richard) Brunner of Riceville, Iowa; Cynthia Ross of Charles City, Iowa and Patsy Beaver of Mason City, Iowa; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Irene Burrier of California, Florence Wing of Nebraska and one brother, Harry Burrier of New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Nixt, son Gary Nixt, son in law Kenny D. Ross, one granddaughter Jenna Lyn Ross, two sisters, Darlene Kalvig and Verna Pint, and two brothers, Leonard Burrier and Larry Burrier.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
