Bob was born on July 23, 1938, in Kellerton, Iowa, to the late Robert and Irma Mosbarger. He graduated from Mount Ayr High School and married Sharon Bonham in 1959. He served his country in the US Army. He spent the next 34-years with Hy-Vee Food Stores, Inc., golfing when he could find time, active in many civic organizations and attending Iowa Hawkeye football games for many years.

Upon his retirement, Bob and Sharon moved to the state of Texas where he cheered on the Dallas Cowboys and “helped” Tiger Woods with his golf game from his recliner. Bob was an avid golfer, enjoyed entertaining while grilling up steaks for guests. Bob will be remembered for his generosity willingness to always help his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Jan (Terry) Gibson of Des Moines Iowa, Joi Mosbarger of Dallas, Texas, and Jillian Lambert of Texas; his grandchildren, Grayson Gibson of Thorton, Colorado, Gina Gibson of Carroll, Iowa, Garret Gibson, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Brooke Lambert of Austin, Texas; and by his siblings, Nancy Phillips of Richmond, Virginia, Raymond Mosbarger of Albia, Iowa, and Thrisha (Tim) Auge, of Bella Vista, Arkansas. In addition to his parents and wife, Sharon, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Richard (“Dick”) Mosbarger.

A private family memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.

On his bathroom mirror he taped a note to remind himself “Relax, Take the Day off, I’ll take it from here – signed, God.” In agreement, Bob would say, “Amen…A-Woman!”
