Letter to the Editor: Go vote absentee or on May 1 for jail referendum

Voting day is fast approaching for Floyd County and its citizens. Every voter will have the opportunity to go to the polls and vote yes on Tuesday, May 1.

The issue before us is whether funds will be approved that day to enable the county to build a new law enforcement center and also update parts of the court house.

The planning committee has spent many months with experts in this type of construction and have developed a very good plan that is well thought out and is cost effective.

Please vote at the polls on May 1st or vote absentee at the Courthouse. Thank you.
