Fair selling ‘Twister 2019’ T-shirts

Individuals can support the Floyd County Fair rebuilding process by purchasing a “Twister 2019” T-shirt.

The fair board will start fairground rebuilding meetings in August to decide placement and designs. In the meantime, the board is selling the T-shirts to help cover deductible and building contents that were lost and destroyed during the Memorial Day tornado.

The shirts say “Twister 2019” and “Floyd County” on the front with an illustration of a cowboy holding a lasso and riding a tornado. On the back, the shirt simply says “#FairStrong.”

Shirts are $12 each for youth through adult XL and $15 for 2XL and bigger sizes. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt is asked to call or text Lisa Sonberg at 641-426-6730 to order between now and July 10.

The shirts will be available to pick up on July 12 at Cedar Valley Realty and Auction.
