Construction work has begun on the 2020 Charles City paving project

Clinton Street in Charles City is closed to through traffic from Ninth Street to Seventh Street for work in the 2020 hot mix asphalt city paving project.

Work started this week and updates will be provided on a regular basis, according to John Fallis, Charles City city engineer.

“Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area if possible, and residents should follow directions and information provided by the contractor, Heartland Asphalt Inc.,” Fallis said.
