Karen Praska, 77, of Charles City, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020.

The family of Karen extends an invitation to anyone who would like to attend her visitation and funeral. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and to please wear a mask; thank you for your understanding.

A funeral service for Karen Praska will be held at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Sister Diana Blong of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home.

Karen Ann Praska, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby (Peterson) Weida, was born on Oct. 23, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa. She attended country school and graduated high school in LeRoy, Minnesota. On Sept. 26, 1964, she was united in marriage to Donald Praska at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in LeRoy, Minnesota.

Karen worked many years for Comprehensive Systems. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Sacred Heart Guild. She was an avid reader, seamstress, loved puzzles, collecting antiques, and had a green thumb for gardening flowers, plants, and vegetables. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Living family members include her husband, Don Praska; children: Konnie (Praska) Biro of Spring Lake, Florida, Donald Praska Jr. of 29 Palms, California, Darrin Praska of Chandler, Arizona, Kristie (Praska) Tegtmeier of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Korrie (Praska) Luna of Waterloo, Iowa; grandchildren: Ryan, DJ, Jessica, Kourtney, Kassandra, Darian, Derek, and Skyler; siblings: Joe, Chuck, John, Tom, Kathy, and Karolyn; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Drew; and daughter-in-law, Editha.
