Brayton Quade hits 95 of 100 birds to help Comet squad take 4th at Cedar Falls Trapshooting Invite

CEDAR FALLS — Competing in its first “100 Bird” tournament of the season, the Charles City/Nashua-Plainfield trapshooting team was able to post a fourth-place finishing squad at the Cedar Falls Invitational on Saturday.

With Brayton Quade hitting 95 of 100 birds, Colton Crooks hitting 94 followed by Daniel Laube (90), Keaton Schmidtke (86) and Cael Ruzicka (76), the Charles City No. 1 squad’s score of 441 was good enough for the fourth spot.

Quade also finished fourth among male individual shooters.

Comet shooters Quade, Laube and Landon Luft all recorded 25-of-25 sessions during the invite.
