‘Hero Night’ at Charles City’s Party in the Park this Friday

Main Street Charles City is helping to get the Fourth of July holiday weekend off to a great start with its third installment of the Party in the Park summer series this Friday, July 1.

Central Park will be rocking from 5-9 p.m. to the live cover band music of Chocolate Crackers. There will also be food and beverage vendors, a beer garden, outdoor games and activities.

The theme is “Hero Night,” with First Security Bank & Trust offering “Hero Stations” where kids can make their own masks and capes. The Charles City Fire Department will also have a “water curtain” to play in and keep cool.

Food vendors scheduled to be on hand are Hy-Vee, Island Grill, Pat’s BBQ, Maria’s Tacos, Cedar Valley Ex-Press, Cookie Doughtique and the Rotary Popcorn Wagon.

Party in the Park is organized by Main Street Charles City, which is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization affiliated with Main Street Iowa.
