Images can be submitted to the contest through Tuesday, Nov. 30. One winner will be selected in each of four categories — People, Landscapes, Events and Everyday Life. Each of the four winners will win $50 in Chamber Cash spendable at Chamber member businesses.

Each person can enter up to eight photographs. There is no entry fee. Photographs must have been taken in Floyd County, must be submitted electronically as electronic jpg or png files, at least 300 dpi, and each photo must be accompanied by an entry form.

Ginger Williams, marketing and tourism coordinator with the Charles City Chamber and Charles City Whitewater, said, “This annual contest is a great way to gather new photos that can be used for publicity purposes and promoting our community to visitors. Additionally, we get a chance to highlight some of the wonderful photographers we have in the area.”

Entry forms and rules can be picked up at the Chamber office, 401 N. Main St., or can be downloaded at by clicking the “2022 Photo Contest” button on the Chamber website, charlescitychamber.com.
