Travis Len Ellis

Travis Len Ellis, 56, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born Jan. 18, 1966, to Doug and Patricia (Togerson) Klindt in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Travis is a graduate from Charles City High School in Charles City, Iowa. He served his country proudly in the United States Marines for six years during the Gulf War and Desert Storm. He was united in marriage to Karin Lea Blankenship on Nov. 19, 1988, in Calabasas, California. Travis worked in telecommunications for DC Electric. He and Karin enjoyed traveling.

Survived by his wife, Karin Ellis of Blue Springs, Missouri; children, Sara Ellis of Blue Springs, Zachary Ellis of Blue Springs and Mason Ellis of Liberty, Missouri; siblings, Tami Ellis, Elissa Ellis, Jessica Ellis, Jennifer Klindt; one grandson, Leland Ellis-Edwards.

Travis is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ellis; step-father, William Ellis; father, Doug Klindt.

Travis will be cremated per his wishes. A celebration of life will be held for Travis at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.
