Charles City students enjoy a ‘Night of 1000 Lights’

Elias King was crowned king and Rylee Hageman was crowned queen Saturday night at the 2018 Charles City High School Prom.

The theme for the evening was “Night of 1000 lights,” and more than 140 students participated in the Grand March ceremonies at Comet Gym. The court included king candidates Cade Hemesath, Elliott Gebel, Tyreque Baker and Ryan Wolfe; and queen candidates Sydney Loeckle, Makayla Nierling, Marissa Deeter, and Mackenzie Wilson.

The evening included the Grand March, the dance until midnight, and the “After Prom,” which lasted until 3:30 a.m. and included a game of “Family Feud.”
