Press Staff Report
Another winter storm rolled through Iowa on Wednesday, dumping more than 7 inches of snow on the Charles City area, causing classes in the Charles City School District to be called off for the ninth time this school year, creating more headaches for drivers and frustrations for shovelers — who had just finished digging themselves out of the last snowstorm.
The snow moved into the Charles City area at about 10 p.m. Tuesday and continued through the afternoon and into the evening.
That won’t be the end of it, according to the NWS. Snow or a wintry mix is expected Friday night into Sunday morning this weekend. Depending on the storm track, significant snowfall is possible.
Snow is possible again Monday night and Tuesday next week, according to the NWS forecast. The NWS said it is too early to determine potential amounts.
