A hearing has been set for a Charles City man charged with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Jeffrey Kirk, 54, is being held at the Floyd County Jail on a $14,000 bond before his preliminary hearing on June 6 at 11 a.m. Kirk was arrested on the scene after Charles City Police executed a search warrant on his home on Friday.

In a statement on Facebook, the department said they seized several items from the house and garage. Police also found seven images on a cell phone Kirk was carrying of a child that “appears to be either naked and/or involved in a sex act,” complaint papers filed by the department said.
