Winter storm to bring freezing rain, snow late Sunday

Freezing rain and snow is expected to impact Floyd County late Sunday, making Monday morning travel difficult, the National Weather Service reports.

Periods of light freezing drizzle are possible late Sunday, transitioning into freezing rain and snow early Monday morning. Roads may be glazed with ice and snow may accumulate, the NWS-La Crosse office reports.

Temperatures are not expected to drop below the low 30s on Sunday and Monday, the NWS reported, although wind gusts as high as 26 miles per hour are expected.
