Dianne Marie Garrett

Dianne Marie Garrett, 70, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Dianne was born on Aug. 8, 1946 to Clifford and Florence Roberts. She attended school in Charles City, graduating in 1964.

Although raised in Charles City, she did prefer living in the south, having lived in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

As per her wishes, Dianne’s ashes will be scattered in Texas, which she considered home. There will be no memorial service at this time.

She is survived by her children: Kelly Huffman of Mason City, Ron (Sherri) Matte of Charles City, and Dale Matte of Aransas Pass, Texas; grandchildren: Ashley, Brandi, Ethan, and Cassy; five great-grandchildren; and sister Debbie (Frank) Fouts of Clovis, N.M.

Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Garrett; her parents; brothers Dale and Duane; and sister Darlene.

The family would like to thank the staff at 9th Street Chautauqua for the special care they gave Dianne these past few years.
