Michael Edward Johnson

Michael Edward Johnson, 65, of Niota, Tennessee, formerly of Charles City, passed away on November 26th at his home.

He was born in Charles City, on August 1, 1952. Mike graduated from Charles City Community Schools in 1970. He joined the Navy in July of 1970 and served until April of 1980. Mike served aboard the USS Worden DLG-18 Yokosuka, Japan and the USS. Prairie AD-15 San Diego, California and served in Vietnam. He is a lifetime member of VFW Post 3914.

Mike was employed by US Security Knoxville, Tennessee at the time of his death.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Takalo of Hillsboro, Oregon and a brother Jerry (Carol) Johnson of Bassett. He was preceded in death by his parents Silas & Aili Johnson.

A graveside prayer for family will be held on Friday, December 8th at Riverside Cemetery.
