Floyd County Medical Center’s new After-Hours Care Clinic now open nights, weekends for acute care needsNorth Iowans now have more options when unexpected, acute health care needs arise. Floyd County Medical Center’s After-Hours Care Clinic is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Jessica Shea-Hebrink, ARNP, said the added hours will accommodate patients seeking care for mild and/or non-life threatening medical conditions.

She said in emergency situations, patients should still go to the FCMC emergency room. However, if patients do come into the After-Hours Care Clinic and an ER visit is deemed necessary, they will make that recommendation and refer them to the hospital ER for treatment.

FCMC’s After Hours Care Clinic offers care for unexpected health needs such as fevers, infections, allergies, minor cuts, burns, simple fractures, rash or skin irritation, vomiting/diarrhea, sprains and strains and more.

The clinic also features an on-site pharmacy to supply needed medications after hours.

Walk-Ins are welcome or call 641-228-5151 for same-day appointments. The After Hours Care Clinic is located within FCMC’s Clinic, at 1501 S. Main St., Charles City.
