Thomson, a Republican from Charles City, said he is “committed to addressing pressing issues that directly impact the lives of Iowans,” and pledged to build on what he said was the progress made in 2023 during the first year of his first two-year term.

He said his re-election campaign for the Nov. 5 general election will focus on priorities “including eminent domain reform, protecting Iowans from government overreach, defending the rights and well-being of the unborn, rejecting divisive and obscene ideologies in schools, combatting the alarming rise in fentanyl-related deaths, and forbidding, once and for all, Communist Chinese ownership of Iowa land.”

“I am honored to have served the people of District 58 in the Iowa House,” said Thomson, an attorney. “While we have accomplished much, there is still important work ahead. I am committed to advancing the fight for our values and the well-being of our community. I humbly ask for your support as we embark on this journey together.”
