Patricia ‘Pat’ S. Mehmen

Patricia “Pat” S. Mehmen, 90 of 801 Blunt Pkwy, Charles City died early morning on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Mercy One Hospital of North Iowa.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at Sunnyside Memorial Garden, Charles City. Officiating will be Russ Leeper of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation.

Patricia was born on Jan. 2, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Jack and Alpha “Kalk” Scott. She was a volunteer at the Treasure chest store working as a clerk and customer assistance up to the day she broke her hip. She was married to Vernon Boyd until his death in 1970. She later married Rudolph “Rudy” Mehmen until his death in 2017.

She enjoyed playing cards, doing a little gambling, Bowling and making craft projects. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and the VFW and American Legion auxiliaries.

Surviving Pat are her three children, Christine, Robbins, Vernon and Bob Boyd all of Charles City, four grandchildren Michelle, Rick, Shawn, and Kezia along with many great grandchildren. Also her brother William Scott of Texas survives her.

Her parents, husbands, two sisters Hazel and Geraldine Scott and one brother Jack Scott preceded her in death.
