Everette joined the Army in 2005 and served until he was medically discharged in 2007. In 2008 he moved to Wisconsin, moving around from Campbellsport, Madison, Black River Falls to Ossea, before moving back to Iowa to be closer to family.

Everette was a lover of life. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He just had a kind soul and if you met him, you loved him. He felt at home no matter where he was. His smile, laugh and mischievous nature were contagious. He truly loved and respected everyone he ever met.

Everette was genuinely interested in people and their life story and how he could inject happiness into everyone’s life. One of the ways he did this was through his job, as a pizza delivery driver at Casey’s on Blunt (haha) in Charles City. He absolutely loved his job – to him pizza was life. Four really good childhood friends showed him the love of pizza, Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey! Cowabunga, Dude!

Many didn’t know, but he was ordained and performed numerous weddings and counseled couples.

Everette will be greatly missed by family and friends and anyone who ever met him. He was a pure joy to be around. If you were having a bad day just give him 2½ seconds and your whole day would change.
