Joseph attended Allison Bristol High School, graduating in 1996 with honors. He furthered his education at UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and then graduated with a Marketing BA summa cum laude at Upper Iowa. He met Jennifer Marth at UNI and instantly knew she would become his wife. They were united in marriage March 8, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charles City, Iowa. In 2011 they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Anayla, in Chicago, where they decided to build their life.

He was a jack of all trades, accomplishing photography, caregiving, retail sales management, and his most important job of all — full-time father and husband. Joe was also an avid Minnesota Vikings, Michael Jordan, Twins and Hawkeyes fan. If you didn’t love them all ,“It’s OK, not everyone is perfect.” Joe was a kind and selfless person who was willing to help anyone.
